Nothing has changed because you just mount/unmount maemo rootfs. You should check dmesg (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dmesg) command.

Ok, here's a hacked libpurple0 that uses mostly files from the new 2.5.5 Ubuntu build and three files from the collabora build (libmsn.so, and a couple ssl libraries) so both ICQ and MSN work again....

When the GPS starts up on the n810, it only sends a message every 5 seconds, and many phones or other apps will time-out after a fraction of a second and disconnect instead of retrying or waiting...
