The tickless kernel feature (CONFIG_NO_HZ) enables 'on-demand' timer
interrupts: if there is no timer to be expired for say 1.5 seconds when
the system goes idle, then the system will stay...

Try dropping the conf file into /home/user/MyDocs/irreco/InternalLircDevices and restart the app. Note that raw_coded conf files are not supported. By Irreco anyway.

I couldn't resist spending more time on mSideShow. ;)

I have now made the application multi threaded, which makes a VAST improvement on updates etc. It's now VERY fast. :)
