My original Jolla phone endured swimming in toilet, and sleeping 2 months under snow that variated between wet and hard. And it came out unscathed. What a trooper.

I am afraid no.
With N900 and GPRS data enabled one had a fix within seconds.

But on XA2 it takes at least 30seconds or minutes...

I asked Jolla via Zendesk abiut the status of MLS in SFOS...

It may have been on N900 indeed, maybe N9 and J1 too. I did receive an SMS with a message.

BTW Sending an MMS was not enough back then. But all that is years ago...

Yep. Reading this thread I was thinking: old, old problem. It's one of the reasons I can't aways use this phone as a primary. I assume it has something to do with U.S. networks and Jolla indifference...

^ despite my critical stance, the browser isn't "unusable".
Battery life is very good on my Xperia XA2 (knock on wood that it stays that way for a while).

As I explained on TJC, I did a factory reset on the device, and then upgraded 4 times to get back to Rokua.

Now it works, sound and all with encrypted home but I still need to install the 183...
