Re: Neo900 - finally a successor of N900

He did not "leave" the project, but is busy (for several months) with Pyra. Joerg hinted at the situation in this post on tmo:

Re: Neo900 - finally a successor of N900

There are actually pretty good news: Joerg's search for someone to do
the layout of the v2 prototype finally paid off, and we're now working
out the details of how to accomplish the transition.

Re: [Announce] Pierogi - a universal infrared remote control app

Well, I do have reservations about this. For one, the original purpose of Pierogi was to create a little experiment of my own; I knew that many CIR control systems were similar to each other, and I...

Re: [Announce] Pierogi - a universal infrared remote control app

That would be interesting; the real problem is that Qt was only starting to add gestures to their framework right as they were giving up on supporting the N900. :( All the low-level gesture code is...

There is should be pam in N900, as N9 also using /etc/pam.d/sshd. You can do exactly same on your N900, just replace QGuiApplication and Sailfish parts.

taixzo is back :)

About the charging thing:
you know about the 'flasher -i' or
'flasher' -f -F fw.bin' to maximum10%, keep an eye on it and stop flasher with ctrl-c or ctrl-z?

What if...

Re: Midnight Commander

The problem is that MC is hard-coded to use GNU-specific options of diff, which busybox does not support (see http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p=1422555&postcount=99).

So it's either GNU diff or...

Re: [Fun/Learning] Root access on freshly flashed N900 using on-device tools only

That only works for packages installed on YOUR N900 and it's usefulness is kind of limited if run on compiled binary programs instead of scripts.
I was more generally speaking, like searching the...

Re: ["Help" request] Strange and serious software'ish problem with Maemo's call/messaging system (?)

@Estel,

That looks weird. My guess is that it's something related to the "org.freedesktop.Telepathy.AccountManager" dbus service.

To start with I'd ask you to post the output of "ps ax | grep...

Re: [Fun/Learning] Root access on freshly flashed N900 using on-device tools only

Long term I would like to see a more secure root in Maemo, thanks for...

Re: [Announce] fkdep - commandline script to fake dependencies

#2 sounds more logical. Mind the "target audience" of fkdep - the more "flexible" it is for automatically creating fakes, the more use cases it may find.
