Re: The Sotiris Makyrgiannis (@meslop74) Appreciation Thread

Arie summed up everything I wanted to say. My only hope is that your (and your team's) next venture will bring us something as amazing and as innovative as the current Maemo/MeeGo portfolio.

We...

Re: For Lumiaman - 101 Reasons Not to Buy WP7.5

Wow, as a Samsung Focus and N900 I can't believe that one of my fellow mtalk members would spread such drivel... I decided to set the record straight.

Re: Nokia N9 discontinued today in Finland

Not all of the developers will switch to Tizen.

I'm speaking for myself here, but when/if Maemo/MeeGo die off, and no new devices are produced, I won't move to Tizen.

First of all, if I wanted...

Re: Let's talk Nokia stock!

I see Nokia talking back to Ahonen as being an exception from their policy on such issues. And there's a bit of discussing semantics there too.

Ahonen is clearly costing Nokia money. We can all...

Re: Nokia Shareholders - lawsuit against Nokia

After having used a Lumia 800 for a few weeks, I can tell you one thing: There is no such thing as a "windows phone smartphone".

Re: Nokia ends phone assembly in Europe

But each...

It's not even the workers costs alone, petty much all of Nokia's sub-contractors are in Asia, like every other manufacturer from Samsung, Apple, LG, SE etc etc.

It was matter of time.

I've always seen Nokia that way. Just the same as any other corporation. I've never understood the misty-eyed view of Nokia that some have.
