I experienced this , so i do a reflash, but after do some tuning, I found that the black screen problem still exist, so I know is the filter brightness simple problem!

this problem i think you disable the light sensor, I got this problem when I do this. After I restore the setting, everything become normal

The biggest down sides for me are:
1) Lack of memory card - 16GB is small but could not think about the amount of money wanted in the US for the 64GB version

TO DISABLE ALS:


in /etc/mce/mce.ini

under [Modules] > list of modules to load,
change "filter-brightness-als" to "filter-brightness-simple"

then reboot.

I'm surprised no one is thinking of getting the Pre 3. I love WebOS - it's relatively open, linux-like, and best of all it does multitasking better than the N900.

Unfortunately we may find that the Maemo 5 version doesn't allow access to non-subscribers, as Last.fm re-issued APIs within the past year or so, blocking access from "mobile"...

I can't answer definitively but I would say it's about the same quality. There was too much background noise to be certain but it sounded decent.

Yes- this would be my exact situation. I do not plan to "jump ship" from my CDMA carrier, Verizon, due to Tmobile coverage issues.I'm also getting a vary reasonable voice and data plan with Verizon....
