Right now the best quick deal I find is a $15 1GB kit (http://www.meritline.com/kingston-1gb-microsd-card2.html), where you buy another memory card that comes with the proper adapters. (w/ free ship)

There are some cheap ones out there if you want to give it a try... I ordered one of these but don't have the n810 yet to try it with :O

What a drag. You can probably find a very cheap adapter online, but if you've just bought it in a retail store it might be simpler to just return it and try again.

sounds like you got the wrong adapter. It needs to be for micro to miniSD .
You could have just gotten a 2 or 4 gig miniSD card and not have the hassle you are now having.
