I've seen the mic come up in an extended version of the "allow access" dialog (I think on the red5), but I haven't verified sound (I haven't found a site that would allow me - too busy getting it...

Datebook's sound still always works. GVM's doesn't.
GVM is just a proof of concept. It's semi-functional.
When it crashes it tends to obliterate all of your Palm data, as well.
