did you install FM Radio? That broke it for me. Then I uninstalled FM Radio, and the BT headset icon appeared in the status bar on my next reboot. Prior to that, I had the exact same symptoms as you...

Unless stated otherwisr software for IT2007OS won't work on IT2008OS.

A repository is a listing of available software packages on a website in a format that your Nokia tablet can understand....

No, for most users this isn't a factor. Just follow the instructions about fully charging your battery to start with, and the overwhelming number of users will not have a problem.
