I think package manager reads only user section. This depends where the developer puts it.
You can see this with: apt-cache show package_name

For example:

About the screen resolution... Just read some C++ code:

They are hard coding 864 x 480 pixels everywhere all the time. :)

USB-RS232 on Nokia N800

I made it!

I had USB-RS232 cabel, that I made early for my Zaurus C1000. The cabel repaired for USB-host mode (B mini-USB).

N800 work under OS 2008. I cross-complie kernel modules...
