The saved game is in ~/.quake2/baseq2/save/game and the delete button in the launcher should delete that folder, but I just tested, and seems it's not actually working. I'll be replacing that with...

I went to /home/user via xterm and deleted the .quake2 directory that did it for me.

A more simple solution is to delete the Microb user settings. You will lose your saved passwords and cookies but not your bookmarks. In this case you rename them:
