Re: Gary Birkett (aka lcuk) RIP
One of my fondest memories of Gary (although I have plenty) was hanging out with him one night in Amsterdam. He had already been to a (ahem) "coffee shop," and I was three sheets to the wind...

36. Though - it doesn't matter how he died.
We've lost someone, a close friend and the family have lost a fiance and a father - reasons why it happened doesn't change anything about the fact....

Re: Gary Birkett (aka lcuk) RIP
I remember Gary as a very cheerful energetic person, no effort was too much for him. He was a true dreamer, but also created some marvelous things.
He was a very active person in the community and...

Gary Birkett (aka lcuk) RIP
Hi all,
It is with sadness that I have to report that I heard from Gary's wife today that he died last night. I don't have much by way of details.
Gary was important to me in my connections to...

Stskeeps says bye! o/
Hi guys,
Think it's enough by now. And this isn't going to have one of those drama comebacks. I've been on here since a long time, helping out with your devices, problems - and it's stopped being...

That's a question for Mohammad; however, at the moment, I don't believe there's a kernel installed. You can see the packages in their gitorious home: http://gitorious.org/community-ssu - although I'm...

Stenny,
What exactly are you so mad about? The fact that... the community is building a community SSU? Are you offended we didn't ask you personally for help?
You do realise that this is...

Re: [Council] State of Maemo, Q32010.2
Let me be more clear: if a Qt based popular and established community project like Amarok is planning/working on going mobile (they are) then a possibility for developers willing to have a great free...

Re: Nokia finishes Maemo5 support
Heck. Even if I was Nokia, I would discourage writing apps just for N900. There is too little money in the N900 market. So even if N900 does support Qt, commercial apps will not come to N900 imo.

Re: [Council] State of Maemo, Q32010.2
The way I see it, the best thing right now would be a rewrite of the stock apps, it takes time, but it's the only way go FOSS here :/
Here's a start (in Qt), hopefully, this project won't die,...

Going back to the comment about the Media Player and Calendar. Both could certainly be replaced, but the question is really whether it's worth investing the time and effort to do this as they will...
