I recommend you install "sudser" to get the ability work with files that are owned by root. Also get http://nitapps.com/dists/chinook/user/binary-armel/nano_2.0.6_armel.deb to get nano a terminal...

To make your life easy, I'd install ssh from the application manager (secure shell, so you can get a terminal remotely), then you can type from a PC (Putty is a Windows app which includes an ssh...
