The point of being able to play 720p is just that- I have hundreds of 720p video, I have whole series in 720p. I am not going to waste time...

The reason why it doesn't work is because some of the symbolic links point to the icons in their optified locations that quite frankly don't exist, and when you try to start VLC you apparently click...
