Absolutely great idea, but OTOH, why Coding Competition can't start gathering funds for *next* year CC right now? I.E funds gathered since end of this competition, would be part of next pool, etc?

Same here I was quite dissappointed I came near the bottom!

Maybe it's just the developers that don't really like ebay apps - or just that voters didn't realise I was doing it in my spare time...

Our understanding is that these devices are in fact given, not loaned. That was stated by Quim while he was the Nokia rep, and AFAIK, that has not changed on his leaving.
