It goes in "/usr/sbin" not "/usr/bin".

So as root, do:

mv /usr/bin/fmtxd /usr/sbin/fmtxd to move the fmtxd you stuck in bin into sbin. Don't have to rm the original fmtxd. mv or cp will...

Yes the charger will not reduce the quality like the original FMTXD, this one boost up the power to 120 constantly when FM Transmitter is enable.

I've "ported" the C++ FFT function from Milkdrop 1.04 to C and done some simple tests.

I haven't done any testing using music data or integrated it with anything so this is just FFT functionality...

FM Transmitter status menu applet that doesn't hide when FMTX is disabled

Long story short, I didn't want the FM Transmitter status menu applet to hide after I disabled it. Unfortunately, it's closed source and I didn't want to have to add another applet just to enable it....
