Re: [WIP] Immoral - a Py/QML mail client.
The use of a Gmail-style "conversation" rather than fully threaded might be more appropriate: most people don't have complex subthreads to navigate, and see the discussion on bug #2674...

Re: N900 will not allow USB OTG!
As per a request from several developers working on this, (and since it has become off-topic and volatile), this thread is now closed until further notice.

Re: N900 will not allow USB OTG!
One caveat.
the current exposed by the bq27200 needs multiplied by (20/3.57)mA to get a current.
It's a raw value from the chip.

Re: N900 will not allow USB OTG!
If you want repeat a test, some detailed explanation is here:
A. You need a modified kernel build from 2.6.28-20100903+0m5. A default kernel configuration arch/arm/configs/rx51_defconfig should...

Re: N900 will not allow USB OTG!
Titan just booted a hostmode-only kernel this very moment.
Egoshin's method implies conecting the N900 to a PC prior to switching to hostmode, and that won't help a lot out in the field, will...

Success!
I just was able to mount USB stick via self-powered HUB and read it.
Device - /dev/sda1
Details will be later, but now - modified kernel. I am looking into right modification.

USB HOST MODE! (Coming soon)
Through the efforts of many - this has been achieved - at least in basic form.
The n900 detected two USB devices - though did not have drivers for them.
Egoshins post of earlier today....

Egoshin,
That's great news for sure. That's working hostmode (to the definition of host talking to peripherals and reading replies), no matter if the devices are recognized / supported or not....

OK, some success (at least I think so).
I used a wall-powered hub with USB memory stick and external USB hard drive. I applied 3.5V from TWL4030 to VBUS and set Host mode of operations in ARM CPU...

Re: N900 will not allow USB OTG!
3.5V is a 'odd' state of the USB bus - there is no guarantee that stuff will work - even if the power supply stays at 3.5V under load.
If it did - then there is a chance that some USB devices may...
