Re: Jaaksi leaves?
How many times are people going to claim that the N900 was mainly for devels and people who like to live on the edge when they have no answer to the question, where do the ads say that?
It would...

Pfff! Anyone with even rudimentary skill in kephalonomancy knows they're returning to GEOS. The time for its triumphant resurrection is at hand.

It's the unfortunate state of the internet rumour mill. Anthing that happens anywhere is about the Nokia choice of OS.

Harmattan is not a platform - it is a release, and SDK-wise it is as much the first in the MeeGo line (through the Nokia Qt SDK) as it is the last in the Maemo one (through the deb based platform...

iOS doesn't come with an adblocker by default, and one must jailbreak to get this functionality. Now, we can argue whether this is mandatory to get proper functionality. I'll speak for myself and say...

Dont want "magic" presentaions. That's emarrassing - like watching a home shopping channel.
Don't want "bling" - useless. That's for teenage girls.
Don't wanna be stabbed... but above all: don't...

Ovi store debacle aside, its natural for VPs to leave when big boss leaves. Nokia needs to start learning from North American companies, one how to give powerful presentations, two how to add bling...

Bear in mind when thinking things like that that Maemo is, at its heart, an enthusiast platform, and enthusiasts like to tinker. That means more installs, and even more reinstalls when someone screws...

Likewise.
I want to be optimistic like Quim (and hope he survives any change yet to come) but it's a struggle. Of course I was briefly involved with the Maemo device program and things didn't...

The article you cite is rather stupid. First, I doubt that anyone expects that N8 is trying to beat iPhone 4, not even fanboys here are so delusional -- so the author's mother may have had an affair...
