[Announce] Faster kinetic scrolling in app menu (PR1.2)

Many (including me) were particularly annoyed with the introduction of the PR1.2 menu, which had slower (much slower) kinetic scrolling.

I installed the OMAP1 kernel by using this xterm code:

sudo gainroot
apt-get install --reinstall -y kernel kernel-flasher

Then I rebooted the N900 with the slider open and didn't see the stock...

Worked like a charm, thanks. Must of been looking at ubuntu (fark knows what I mounted).

To try and give back now. Check for errors and if it's OK copy-paste it to nitdroid.com if it's required....

i did a search and...

to see what mp you should run in terminal as root.
dpkg -l mp-fremantle-*
and
apt-get install --reinstall mp-fremantle-xxx-pr

xxx = your version.. most ppl got generic...

I took a quick crack at seeing if I would have any scrolling issues with the GtkTable approach I was suggesting. None. I don't have markup yet 'cause GtkBuilder doesn't actually let you have markup...

I love the palm webOS too. I would have been cool if we could have gotten it running.
Palm gives out the open source programs they have used with the patches. It may be a nice idea to compile it...

I tried for fun one lazy evening but it failed miserably. There's one big binary blob that's not very easy to diagnose on what goes wrong with it.
