Re: Handtec sourced N9 crashes thread
Yeah, it crashes at home too, and out-and-about on 3G. Not ruling out wifi scanning or similar though. Maybe I'll try making it angry whilst in airplane mode?
So, anyway, PR1.1 is installed, and...

Re: N9 [Announced]: It's [NOT] finally here!
To me it's seems like Nokia fighting for that MeeGo brand backfired a bit. Should have just gone for Maemo, what the MeeGo 1.2 (Harmattan) really is afterall.
That said Nokia has been very quiet...

Re: N9: It's finally here
I've tried to compile some little tidbits gathered from around the web about the not-so-well known parts of the N9. Hope you guys like it. This list is going to get real long after a few days/weeks...

Re: The EPIC N9 anticipation thread
Which the iPad is, without a doubt. Tablets were considered a failed experiment, until Apple came out with theirs. Now the market is being flooded with new tablets, which follow the same formula. If...

Re: The EPIC N9 anticipation thread
Intel needed Nokia more than Nokia needed Moblin.. Maemo was just fine as it was.
If this MeeGo bullplop had never happened, how many Maemo devices would be on the market by now? Serious question...

Stskeeps says bye! o/
Hi guys,
Think it's enough by now. And this isn't going to have one of those drama comebacks. I've been on here since a long time, helping out with your devices, problems - and it's stopped being...

Re: Elops oh s**t moment for Meego
That's an interesting assumption. The switch from GTK+ to Qt isn't only a switch from a GUI toolkit to an expansive UI and application framework, though that is hugely beneficial, it's also intended...

Re: N9 hits FCC???
N900 from day 1 wasn't super fast. It was smooth with nothing installed but after a while, animations became visibly choppy and even loading up Settings took a few seconds. I felt the need to tweak &...

Re: N9 hits FCC???
I remember this, too. OTOH, a "terminal" as we have on the N900 is just another application. I don't care much if they have it installed out of the box... Some say it confuses end users, so it'd be...

Re: N9 hits FCC???
The speed had improved from the earlier versions of the phone, canīt say this was because of the better firmware or the hardware changes ( which I could not verify).
The cam resolution was 12mpix...

Re: N9 hits FCC???
You dont care what Nokia will do ?
Hint for the clueless - who do you think PAYS for Maemo.Org and the repositories at the moment ? What do you think will happen to N900 "community support" if TMO...
