AFAIK, the N900 doesnt recive ir signals. not by a software problem, but because it lacks the hardware sensor. it only has a hardware emitter.

if you are using QT then you could also use

there is a dbus API for that, which you find in /usr/include/tablet-browser-interface.h in the SDK. The call for open a url is:


dbus-send --system --type=method_call...

I don't know how to do this in telepathy, but with dbus you can at least see incoming calls, reject them and create new ones. I haven't found any other way.
