Only config files in (home)/.espeakcaller are left when uninstalling.
You could try removing these files with command "rm -r .espeakcaller" from console.
Also you can try manually starting deamon...

No, backward in this thread there is a link to the OpenJDK package provided by Cambridge Software Labs, but after several testings i returned to the Sun Package.
