is it the same tone you get when you've left the conversation open? perhaps you've left the conversation open? ;)

there's also a volume slider for sms tones nest to where you'd set the tone.

the hardware of the pandora is nearly the same as the hardware of the n900. both run linux, so the psx emulator for the pandora should run on the n900 with minor (if any) changes.

I believe I found the bug report for this. From the sounds of it there is a fix coming at some point:
