Re: Sailfish OS (officially) on Sony Xperia devices

Settings said 20 Mpx but it was still only 16 Mpx. Switched to 4:3 (13 Mpx), took a picture and then switched back to 20 Mpx. Now the pictures are indeed 5984x3392.

PS Seems like updating...

Re: Jolla - alike, or how Jolla adopted the Google's anti-open-source practices.

I don't think Jolla and Google are really comparable like this.

While Googles agenda is clearly apparent & nicely described by that rather well known Arstechnica article, in Jollas case the...

Re: Sailfish OS (officially) on Sony Xperia devices

I confirm, in my past experience with a Jolla 1, Android has always been the most awefull power-hungry explanation of battery drop.

Worst offenders seemed to be online chat application.

I've...

Re: Sailfish OS (officially) on Sony Xperia devices

Did some tests with a microSDXC Transcend Ultimate 633x 64GB card : UHS3, the read speed seem to top around ~50 MB/s.

It's not as fast as the advetised max speed of the device (~80 MB/s)
Nor as...

Re: Sailfish OS (officially) on Sony Xperia devices

You should use:

32bit ARM - Sailfish X only use 64bit for the kernel, AFAIK
KitKat 4.4 version (That's the one supported by...

Re: Sailfish OS (officially) on Sony Xperia devices

I took at a look at the SIM carriage for F5122, and it appears there are only 17 pins total on the package. 9 on one side, 8 on another.

SIMs are 6 pins, SD cards are 8, so that's a total of 20...

Re: Sailfish OS (officially) on Sony Xperia devices

Exactly. You have reached the point where the bootloader can be unlocked.

Re: Sailfish OS (officially) on Sony Xperia devices

Currently, the kernel doesn't have the btrfs driver compiled in.

(Probably next week, I'll have some time to try to compile it, as a stop-gag measure until Jolla adds it officially).

So you...
