Re: N9: It's finally here

Tempting. But I don't see them advertising amazingly up to date flash compatibility, which suggests there isn't any.

FM Transmitter and IR port I could live without; better specs and NFC hardware...

- No keyboard. How come? Way to blow it...
- My N900 can go at 1.15GHz too.
- No desktop. This is the new way of UI-s: nothing in the system, just a fancy application launcher, just like iOS or...

For the old Nokia's sake, we have to stop the new Nokia

The entire reason for Nokia and other manufacturers (including Motorola, Samsung, Sony Ericsson etc) founding Symbian over ten years ago was to stop Windows dominating mobile computing. They shared...

Re: Nokia - Microsoft partnership (merged threads)

Eldar was always out from the loop, he was dabbling in wild speculations for years. But with his aggressive 'I know what I know, dare you to prove me wrong' approach, he used the same strategy...

Re: Is there anything we can do??

Each time I asked why it was so delayed, I got trash thrown at me and labeled an infidel or something for not just "believing" and instead, questioning.

I seriously cannot fathom why somebody...

Re: Nokia - Microsoft partnership (merged threads)

Well, looks like this is the end of the road for Nokia, and a huge step backwards for open computing too. (sigh) The brand will probably be around on ever-more-commoditised devices for a while, but...

Re: A little confuised on the N900/Maemo haters... please explain.

I've found the irony here is that most posters on this thread talks down iOS and Android without actually knowing the platform, just like if an iOS/Android noob would talk down on n900 based on it's...

Re: Droid Bionic what you guys think about it ?

Why are you asking here? Go look at an Android forum or read some articles that answer your question. They're far more likely to have less Nokia-fanboi anti-Android sentiments, have more details and...

Re: Nokia CEO Elop lays groundwork for new strategy to be announced next month, a move away from meego?

I really don't see them replacing MeeGo (or Symbian) with WP7. Seriously, there's absolutely nothing but a name and snappy UI. No multitasking, other features missing, localization only half way...

Re: What Apps will be available once Meego goes gold?
