isnt the scrolling in the apps like contaxts, photos etc a wontfix, so that wont ever get sorted internally.
thats always been my main beef with the phone, i hope one day someone can patch that :)

gconftool -s --type int /apps/hildon/update-notifier/check_interval 2147483647

2147483647 is the max value for me.

Inside the zip file there are 2 directories/folders, 'opt' and 'usr'.

These 2 directories need to be moved to the folder /root.

The KR file will be in the scripts folder within opt

Of course it does. Restarting half the daemons also uses a lot of battery life. Specially tracker.

(which is also the main reason rebooting uses battery -- it's not like it has to spin down / spin...

that's about normal for xorg if you run a handful of widgets... try disabling widgets a bit at the time - rule out things you have running to see what is chewing up that RAM. And, yes, io/cache...
