Without trawling through the whole thread, so at risk of repeating posts, I find it hard to believe/understand why the desktop has been got rid of - I find it a massive pain in the arse to scroll...

Based on the announcement that time from launch to shipment will be short in future and the X7 and E6 now shipping in June while being announced in April, this lets me hope that N9 will be on sale...

You're right the N9 has a great design, to be honest maybe one of the best around. As an operating system Harmatten is awesome, so is Maemo 5.
I do disagree with you about people not caring about...

As far as user replaceable battery goes: please note the long thread about broken usb ports on the n900. One cause of this is that users are always charging via the usb port rather than swapping...

So am I understanding that you can't close an app when it is fullscreen and running. The only way is to swipe to the 'open apps' window to select which ones to close?
