I was able to update mine using apt-get. Make sure devel is enabled & updated first. As root:

apt-get update
apt-get upgrade libgoffice-0-8 libgoffice-0-8-common

Uploaded version 0.4-5 to extras-devel
Now you can decompress tar, tar.gz, tar.bz2 and zip files using filebox

Please make some test for this.
If it works 100% I'll promote the package to...

Yes. You will be able to edit Spreadsheets.
