I donīt think it is a good idea. You can do the eye candy by yourself, no need to bloat the software because of stuff like that. Just my opinion.

and Hmm.. I am using "mypaint 0.8.2-2maemo0" package and I have modified MyPaint a bit.

1.) I have disabled feature:
"Bruslist is inside hildon. PannableArea (instead of gtk.Scrolling)"...
