This will no doubt be because the amount of data transfered to view webpages on the N900. Maemo will display webpages as they are supposed to be viewed including ALL of the flash content and whatever...

I ran into an issue where I would set my XP machine to receive a file and then my N900, which was paired and connected would fail to send the file with a message "Failed to connect to mycomputer"
...
