Just get a snake background, and change the wmTaskSwitcher icon for a snake menu button. There you go, a snake theme.
You can even get a snakeskin style skin for the N900

Check profiles, make sure that a vslid ringtone is assigned and actually sounding. Make sure profile isn't silent. Make sure volume is up. Make sure phone doesn't think it's connected to any BT or...
