Another way to get to the folder is by installing
1- Filebox (http://maemo.org/downloads/product/Maemo5/filebox/)
2- Rootsh (http://maemo.org/downloads/product/OS2008/rootsh/) for root priveleges....

I guess you're connecting via USB/Mass Storage Mode - in that case you'll only ever see stuff under /home/user/MyDocs.
