The Flash plugin isn't a driver. It's, well, a plugin, a small program that plugs into, and extends, another. And Nokia wouldn't get Flash from TI. Nokia would need to license it from Adobe directly....

In fact, this discussion is pointless. A good quantity of apps is good, in a way that "ecosystem" have "critical mass" (more developers supporting it, more likely to have all the needed good apps...

i beg to differ on this point.

I believe the appstore paradigm will become more pervasive in the future, extending its reach to desktop and maybe even the corporate world.

There may be tweaks...

Yeah it's true its working. But you have to tilt your phone on the desktop with omweather and interestingly enough it works just with the original icons for me.

There is an APP called "Ask Ziggy" that contains a Maemo.org search (talk, packages, wiki), which I find extremely useful.

Ask Ziggy can be found in the Application Manager or here...

Just read couple of articles, i think have not been shared so i will. N950 surely would've been a worthy successor to N900, unlike N9. Maybe sometime down the road, this form factor will be sold

I think what he's getting at there is that MeeGo isn't what's important.

The N9 is essentially running MeeGo "Lite"
The look and feel they achieved could probably be done on many other platforms...

IMO, there are 3 kind of behaviours the platforms have.
Number 1: Establish a friendship between the developers and the platform by holding developer conferences, welcoming them and giving them new...

dont expect any company to ever release a fully FOSS compliant handset for the masses. BUT Nokia N9 is more open than Android/WebOS seems to be and is marketed for normal consumers with good hw.for...

It's stupid to care about the amount of apps. N900 has ~700 properly tested (extras) apps and still so far has been more than enough for me.
