This just happened to my Jolla Tablet - it was at 54% battery charge when I unlocked it and went away for about 1 hour to find my Tablet turned off after that hour.
I was able to normaly turn it on...

I truly doubt this. Sorry. But if it benefits a person unfairly, they'll oft rationalize it as "they're a big company" or "they've scammed others in the past" and silently keep it and call it a day....
