Have you tried to bend the small contact connectors on the battery? I had an issue where a battery was causing the phone to shut off and this was the problem. You'll need a fairly small watch type...

You got your answer - just install old packages (minus the usbmode and hostmode-gui things, they're unrelated). You can do it by giving apt specific version during reinstall, like:
apt-get install...

Sorry for late response but I don't have permanent access to wifi in this country.
It worked!
I've put the sim card in the asha phone and made the change. Once in the n900 the phone connected...

Chip memory is kept using power from main battery (negligible) or bupbat (the same one that keeps clock). It requires much less power than real-time clock, so even in the cases where you lose...

One thing comes to mind;
It could be that the SIM state is presistent, that it is stored on the card itself.
Then you could change the state using the Asha, and swap the SIM into the N900 and it...

Somebody has any clue how this functionality works?
I would guess the 'national' limits the available (switchable) network codes only to "friendly" providers. And 'roaming' opens up...

Luck - the procedure can't be changed, as it's the chip itself that calibrates itself after 15 seconds below threshold.
BTW, I know you pain - sometimes, I discharged my 3Ah cell with >1A current...

I know it might not be for everyone, but getting dual-cell battery is easy way to solve it. I charge my device once few days (3 or more) thanks to 3Ah behemot. The difference from 1,3 Ah is...

Or just charge it to full, disconnect (VDC 1, check with BNF when in doubt), then just use it normally, and let it turn itself off due to low power. It will shutdown safely, and get calibrated just...
