Re: Jolla 2 expectations
My Wishlist :
* n950 form factor, with embedded HW keyboard (so perfectly balanced, with battery under it and not behind the screen)
* the HW keyboard could be enhanced with a left and a right...

Re: Jolla & Sailfish in MWC 2014
I'm glad to support them, but I hope they won't leave their potential users out until 2015. I.e. I'll support them with buying the device when I'll be able to use it on my network with 3G or LTE....

Jolla & Sailfish in MWC 2014
MWC is getting nearer and we have had some rumours/tweets on new features that are to be presented in Barcelona. Some more information in this news article (in Finnish) titled:
Jolla has high hopes...

Re: Security (NSA, Android app, any app, OS...)
Not safer than Android, I'd say.
The core OS might be secure, but there's absolutely no protection against rogue apps stealing your data (apart from the Jolla store validation, which I doubt can...

Re: Flashlight - Possibly Malware application
You and I have clearly different ideas of what "quite normal application behaviour" is. IMO, if an application is not primarily network-aware (browser, cloud storage, online map, updating...) then it...

Re: Flashlight - Shady Network Usage
Collecting usage statistics is quite common for apps, but in Maemo/MeeGo/Sailfish land the rules are a bit different. :)
And we're proud of that.
It's good that you're honest with your...

*Mis-information*
Yes, app should have told somewhere in...

Re: Jolla User Experience Thread
Yep, I've shown mine to people. And they all think it looks nice, but have none have shown any interest in investigating it any further.
And being shown the phone and actually using it are...

Re: Jolla User Experience Thread
More to the point, the phone frankly (and sadly) isn't ready for the masses yet, so it'll be difficult to gain that interest. And I'm beginning to suspect that by the time all the bugs, rough edges...

Re: Jolla User Experience Thread
You really think Jolla is going to survive because of ability to run Android apps? It hasn't helped BB10. Why would users buy a Jolla phone to run Android apps? To me, Jolla can only survive if it...
