Re: Nokia N810 and apple wireless KB

Does buying a keyboard prevent people from searching before posting?
Guess correlation does not imply causation, but it seems there's something going on here...

Running Windows 3.1 on an N810

I'm not sure quite how useful this is going to be, but I was able to install and run Windows 3.1 under DOSBOX on my N810.

Re: Want a linux box to talk with NIT but dont want to buy one: USE YOUR WIN PC

Argh, virtual machines are great... except simple fact: they're S-L-O-W...
Even with vmtools installed, vmware is still provides a decent performance penalty vs real hardware machine. If you have...

Re: Want a linux box to talk with NIT but dont want to buy one: USE YOUR WIN PC

Re: Want a linux box to talk with NIT but dont want to buy one: USE YOUR WIN PC

Re: Want a linux box to talk with NIT but dont want to buy one: USE YOUR WIN PC

Hi,

Another option is to use the free vmware player and run the Linux OS inside of a virtual machine. This is what I use for tablet development. The advantage is that you don't have to reboot to...

Re: have stolen nokia "call home" with its ip address

Sorry, I don't think you're being realistic here.

How are you going to phone home if the thief or user doesn't have an Internet connection? He might have some WiFi and BT passwords but those...

Re: use usb to power the device?

Well, perhaps I'm mistaken, so rather than risk putting my foot in my mouth, I'll ask you: Does your Samsung allow you to play music while it's connected to the computer for file transfer?

Re: Canola and OGG support

This problem was already encountered : it looks like a problem with mplayer so you have to edit your .atabake/config file to associate ogg with the built-in player => ogg = oms (if memory serves)

Re: Lousy experience on Nokia N800

Despite the claims to Wh.I.N.E. (whine is not effective) I see something else in here. The true underlying point, is I believe, that the n800/n810 are not garage products. Clem and his second...
