contactlaunch saves icons under /home/user/.local/share/applications with names like contact00000.desktop

You can safely delete those files.

Check from

/home/user/.local/share/applications

look for *.desktop applications (but make sure you do not remove all of them).

EDIT : Also you can just select one and keep it pressed; a X...

The deb file has english (by default) and spanish languages
