Yes, thank you. Today I found same behavior. Sorry, I use simple xmpp account, and didn't see it. This strange thing happens only with google accounts. There is some feature for gTalk. I didn't know...

Actually, he is right from the usability aspect. The client is there, the event feed is not really useful since any action like reply/retweet would require to launch the app anyway.
