OK, so I did it just out of curiosity, and it was actually not so difficult to backport the aegis interfaces to the Nemo kernel.
Just booted it freshly up to Harmattan, and it seems to run nicely....

I haven't tested, but I'm fairly sure that applications can still access the accelerometer when mimimized in Harmattan, just the same as in Fremantle. There is no difference in multitasking...

Until USB host mode is implemented, N9 cannot use USB devices. The way USB driver is implemented it can only act as an USB guest device (It means it can only be connected to a computer)

Yes, because of limitation of the N9 HW.. Sailfish OS planned to publish better HW (dual core or something), but i am very impressed how well it running on the N9/50 :cool:

Yes, Maemo5 is excellent. Noone denies it. But Harmattan's ergonomics are out of this world. Cannot be compared to any other OS.

Let's hope BB10 & Sailfish top it.

but the rest... the OS looks like it's trying too much.
the simplicity of use (along with swipe) made Harmattan so awesome.
