You may want to search the forum for how to revive a very dead battery. The new one you got may have been discharged, since it is unlikely that any (real) Nokia battery is all that new these days,...

I had this issue with my N9, seemed to be a battery problem. Unfortunately I never have managed to revive it.

Just wait to take some activities in groups. Do not add members or otherwise, where there is a risk that you become disabled.
