The joy of HEVC
To my great surprise, 24-30 fps full resolution HEVC (h265, libx265) encoded videos can be played back under Maemo-Leste, on Droid 4 with cpu alone!

I longed for one of those back in the day, too. IIRC, in the US, Radio Shack sold several models of Sharp Pocket Computer under their own brand name. The probably did that in other markets, too.
