I've never even seen a N810. :)

I might have an idea for you to try.

Install Xkbd.

Re: Why we got no social media widgets for n810?

I've found that just using the iphone.facebook.com (http://iphone.facebook.com) URL works pretty good for Facebook.

Re: Onscreen Thumb Keyboard via hardware key?

Okay, I gotcha now.

I don't own a N810 so I wasn't quite sure all of what you were saying.

Can't you simply remap that rocker button from the keyboard to another hardware button like the center...

Re: Onscreen Thumb Keyboard via hardware key?

I'm not quite following your request, gogol.

Are you asking for your setup to work while your physical keyboard is open?

If so, maybe trick the tablet to believe that it's closed.

Either:...

Re: Onscreen Thumb Keyboard via hardware key?

If I understand you, you want the thumb keyboard to pop up if you touch the screen a certain way. Try a quick tap in the input part of the screen with the tips of two fingers close together or with...

Re: How to schedule scripts (using alarmd?)

Why?

I read somewhere that cron isn't offered on the NIT, because it's too heavy (although I'm not sure why I see a /etc/cron.daily folder).

Theoretically, alarmtool does what I need. I have...

Re: Dialcentral 1.0

Heads up, I just pushed 1.0.4 out to extras-devel.

I made some decent sized changes. I would really like this tested, especially by people who feel comfortable running dialcentral from the...

Re: dbus Knowledge Thread

You can use dbus-inspector (app written in Python) to inspect the whole D-Bus system. You need to use dbus-inspector version using python2.5, which as I remeber could be found in Gentoo (or its...

Re: dbus Knowledge Thread

That, I believe, is called "dbus-introspection". D-Feet (https://fedorahosted.org/d-feet/) is pretty good but it doesn't work fully on the N8x0 (dbus-python is quite old). I'm a proponent of...

Re: The Quickest, Ugliest, and Best Call-Quality SIP Client For The N810.

No, I hadn't, as you mentioned in your initial post that the .install on the web page didn't work for you, so I assumed dpkg was the only way.

The fun thing however, is that this morning an...

Cool Is there already a Dillo port?

Well, I just port that. Still not optimize the UI for maemo.
I want to make sure there's no existing port yet. Or it's wasting my time.

It's really fast on my N810. Even much much faster than...
