Since msfetch is a small program in Perl, I decided to try to migrate it to my N810 and then...

Re: Perfect time to release Maemo 5.
Something that actually used the N810 camera... and was updated in the last 18+ months.
How about this...
An updated Skype. An updated Evince. An updated Fring. An updated Xournal. An...

Re: Things i really don't like ...
But that's the whole point of the SDK in beta - that we (knowledgeable guys, not me) check it out and test file bugs - well in advance of the actual software release.
I will be all too glad to...

There are some things in fremantle i really don't like and which i think nokia should re-think. This thread is to voice these things and to see whether others see the same problems (in which case...

Re: N900 specs revealed
Funny - that reminds me of the early Mac a friend of mine had in university. It didn't have arrow keys. Looking up "cursor" in the manual referred you to the fine mouse. Word processing was a huge...

Re: N900 specs revealed
Tried that. FBReader just feels too small. MicroB/Tear usable but I am constantly tempted to switch to full screen. Maemo Mapper feels like I am looking at it through a keyhole.
So, what was the...

Re: N900 specs revealed
I don't need or want a $700 phone. I have the perfect phone and it was free. TI didn't make the OMAP3 so I can sound better to friends and family. And none of you originally came to this forum to...

Re: N900 specs revealed
Well, windowed mode and 80% zoom, non?
EDIT - And on my N800, windowed mode means about 3.8" diagonal. Don't forget that also that the aspect ratio of windowed mode is also not the same as a 3.5"...

Re: N900 specs revealed
Nokia told us in September 2008 that the term "internet tablet" would not be used any more for a future Maemo 5 device. Of course they didn't say then that there'd be a different form factor. It was...

Re: N900 specs revealed
I use my N800 everyday with a car mount and BT GPS. I have a selection of useful apps that I refer to frequently and I can honestly say I now depend on the N800 in my day to day life. With that said...

Re: N900 specs revealed
I cant reiterate any more than this:
We are really happy with the n900 as a maemo phone. Absolutely happy. What we are asking is details regarding the maemo 5 internet tablet.

Re: N900 specs revealed
Do you actually, like, use the product? The taskbar on the side is nearly irrelevant since the issue is how big the app is in FULL Screen Mode. When they're in an app, I'm sure most users go...
