So it seems. Yet i wonder why. From what i understand, downloading a rom is legal if you have the original game

discussing emulators is fine
roms linking is not so fine
the debate if roms are legal or not if you own a original differs by Country and or publisher b/c this is a international community its safer to outright ban all linking of roms b/c its such a grey area.

Not emulator discussion no, but I'd support moderators immediately deleting any post linking to copyrighted material.

The emulators are now back on maemo.org, which gives them a very wide userbase. Let's not give Nintendo more reason to get upset with Nokia/maemo.org.

Someone give me mod rights so i can kill the threads asking for ROMs, please. It's not just that it's asking for aid to do something almost surely illegal, it's not just that it's not the place for it. It's that it has been asked so many times and i suspect will only get worse because emu kiddies can't be assed to SEARCH.

Thanks for the link btw, while it's nice and all to play ROMS of old games, I have this really weird memory when it comes to videogames (I can replay them through my head). Even years after playing a game I can pick them up and know where every hidden item and area is. Which makes it less fun to play those games so it's nice to have some interesting homebrew games I've never tried before.

Glad you liked it, it's fun to see homebrew for so many systems, I agree, plus it gives everyone a legitimate reason to dowload all those EVIL emulators...
