Re: Flash Yahoo Stock Charts

Everything targeted at Flash Player 9.xx.xx will work on N900. So, Flash CS3 & earlier and Flex 3.4 and earlier (tho 3.4 adds some stuff that might not work in 9.xx.xx). If the target base is Flash 9 (fourth byte of any swf - 0x09) it will work on N900, and some even targeted at Flash 10, if not using internal 3D transitions, new typography and couple of added features, should work as well.

Yup...one of my bookmarks. I haven't been on finance.yahoo.com for a while, and didn't know they moved to "Flash based" charts. Everything works, even my chart settings for moving averages and stochastics. To "interact", just do a quick "tap" so the hand/cursor highlights the desired point on the chart.

You can add/remove/adjust the "Technical Indicators", etc, but adjusting the "time line", at the bottom (i.e. fine adjust the time range slider) is a little laggy, but do'able. Its best to setup your chart via your yahoo account, and set a bookmark to the sight, with your credentials entered.

So basically, all the "pull down menus work", and work rather quickly, but the time line adjustment is slow. If you just pick one of the presets, 1-day, 5-day, 30-day, 1-year, etc, they draw fairly quickly as well. FWIW, nothing else seems "missing" vs. the PC version.

its great to see that the chart setting and the technical indicators pull down menu works and gives a pc type experience.

Thank you for answering Colnago:)
