Okay.

There's always Xkbd or perhaps you could find the config file somewhere and maybe understand it enough to change that directly instead.

Post back if you made in results on this. :)

I ended up doing it the easy way; I plugged in my mini USB to USB "Host" adaptor, then plugged in my standard size wired keyboard. Then in "options / preferences / title" I entered %f so that only the song filename is displayed (no track numbers).

Here's a screenshot: (note: I chose the "helix-sawfish" skin)

XMMS Trivia Question: How do you permanantly stop the song title from scrolling?

Time's up!

Answer: It cannot be stopped. As long as there are more characters in the title than can be displayed, it will scroll, short titles will not scroll.

There's much better skins out there Den, but hey, if that's your thing. :)

Oh, and I wouldn't leave Xmms running on your desktop, it can be pretty unforgiving on your battery that way.

Did you understand my post on it playing a .pls file?

If you look around, there's some radio stations that broadcast at 192 or more kbps which sounds absolutely fanstastic on a N800.

It's like having a free subscription to Sirus radio. :)

I had been listening to some good streaming radio stations here at work, until the IT department complained that I was waisting their bandwidth! As far as running down my battery, I run my N800 on the a/c power adaptor while at work. I do like XMMS better than YouAmp.

So they won't let your stream radio at work?

That's a serious blowfest. :(

If I were you, when they mentioned that, I would have broken down into tears and told them about my inoperable brain tumor.

After they went away, I'd fire back up the radio again. :)

Hi Den.

Menu -> Playlist Editor

Menu -> Options -> Playlist WindowShade Mode

then

Menu -> Main Window

Hey, if you find any more nice features or downloaded any of those extra addons available in the app manager, care to post on it?

Thanks.

Ooh!

Menu -> Options -> Preferences -> Effect Plugins -> Extra Stereo Plugin

then click on Enable Plugin.

Not to sound like Paris Hilton here, but wow, that's hot! :)

Hey, anyone want to help me to get Jess (Xmms addon) running in full screeen?

I've got wmctrl already installed but I don't know the command line for it to work with this.

This visualization feature is pretty sweet, runs much better than I was expecting, and it would look awesome full screen. :)

Thanks.
