I really like the idea of the design sets. That way you could have several styles of sheep and even other kinds of animals like others have suggested.

Behavior "sets" too! ie, characteristics (degree of crazyness, stubbornness, speed, etc).

We need lasers.... lots of lasers... everything is better with lasers...
I will try to put some generic engine together soon to incorporate the level of crazin... imagination in this thread :)

Lasers would scare the sheep. Tasers, otoh... are used for cattle occasionally. And herding elephants.

Herding qoles is like herding cats, but different.

Harder, because they are even less responsive to "encouragement" than cats.

Easier, because there's only one of them.

Maybe a Qole would be a variant on my other idea then. There's only one cat in the game. And a lot of blood (the player's, not the cat's).
