Funny tags you got. :)
Seriously does anyone really use diffrent ringtones to contacts. Thougth it was something you do when you were 14. Remember when I bougth the 3210, it was fun then. Now I would miss calls if I used it. Just a thougth Did not know it was something included on newer phone either. |

Re: Returning my N900
if nokia was not for mass production, why not just give it to the die hards that like to program and have them play with it. N900 was wrongly marketed to the masses

Re: Returning my N900
Underworld, I'm a new poster - already I get that you were'nt happy with the N900, you're returning it and getting something new - happy days
I also get that you felt strongly enough to post your views - done Now you just seem to want to bang on and moan for the sake of it. Why not get out a bit more, or get a hobby - but ultimately cheer / lighten up, or do you just want to drag everyone down, all you are now doing is coming across as a petulant, childish bore. Sorry mate, but thats how you are coming across, intentional or not. You've more than made your point, move on and cheer up - please ;) |

Re: Returning my N900
Underworld, Okay I see where you are coming from - kind of, 'cause you then started replying with rants.
I spent weeks banging on about my crappy N97, but that was on my network providers forum. Ultimately I got my contract cancelled. My point is, out of the people who visit a user or community forum more people are going to be pro than against. Whereas people posting on a network forum are more likely to be unhappy or complaining. Yes I see that from your point of view, you are just retaliating (I don't neccessarily agree, but accept that is how you probably see it), - but come on mate can't you except that the majority of people here are probably going to be happy users, you don't agree - fair doos, but don't be surprised when they rally round to defend the N900. If I went on an Iphone or HTC users forum, and complained (rightly or wrongly) about their devices, I would expect the forum members to be a little biassed :D Its not rocket science is it. Which leads me back to thinking that maybe you're just looking for an argument - 'course I could be wrong ;) |

on most threads where someone doesnt like the phone, the conversations keep going forever... i agree a forum is for people who love the phone, i came on here because I loved it (at first)... But to test a phone and to live with a phone is different... talking about different forums, I have been to loads of other forums, where people accept that the device(HTC HD) has got flaws (software n hardware), and try to correct it, rather than defend it .. |
Re: Returning my N900
Three things spring to mind:-
1st One example of a feature that people feel is lacking is MMS. This is currently being worked on here - fmms. 2nd In a sense I do agree that we should understand (as much as possible) what we are buying, all companies make their ware sound as attractive as possible - its all part of the marketing game. I read lots of reviews, and new before buying that MMs and tones / contacts was not supported. As neither of these were important to me personally (and due to open nature of OS, would probably come in time), I was happy to buy. 3rd Can we agree that you've made your point and move on :D |
