Where is fAPN? I don't see it listed in my installed applications.

its in app manager. you have to download it i think its in extras now. you shouldn't need the testing or devel catalogs for it i think.

then how did you get optus MMS??????????? reinstall it from application manager. but before you do that open fmms or re install it and delete the APN settings you also have in there.

Thanks I'll give it a shot in the morning.

Anyone else getting the "Some catalogs not available" error right now?

I can't get this to install, keeps finding missing files etc.
How do I add devel as a catalogue?

Cheers

BT

ok - I had to add /extras-devel and not /devel as a catalogue.

If anyone is on o2 in the UK and having problems with the configs I managed to get these ones to work (contract only, no idea about PAYG)

Access point name: wap.o2.co.uk
Username: o2wap
Password: password
Proxy: 193.113.200.195
Proxy Port: 8080
MMSC: http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002

I'm on O2 contract but I can't get these setting to work - always comes up with connection reset by peer,

Ok - I switched on 'Havoc' mode and now it works.

I have uninstalled fMMS, typed in the command in terminal posted a few pages back to remove previous settings and then re-installed, when I try and send MMS get "Sending Failed: Error: -2 Name or service not known. Please make sure your APN settings are correct". I also got this error when I manually tried to input the settings, checked them many times... anyone else had this on vodafone UK?! thanks in advance for help...

So fMMS does not work with wi-fi right?? That means you have to have data plan or 3G to send/receive pictures right??? I just want to clarify.

Re: [Announce] fMMS - MMS on the N900

I installed fMMS from Extras Testing since it was moved up from Extras Devel so didn't need fAPN because this newer version has fAPN built in. I use Rude mode (disconnects from current connection, downloads message and then re-connects to original connection). But a side issue is that mine also connects to MMS instead of Vodafone Internet GRPS in situations where I lose regular internet connection - so unrelated to fMMS itself. I re-named MMS to zMMS so it comes at the end of my list of available connections and it doesn't seem to happen anymore. Maybe it connects to the first on the list alphabetically. I only realised this today so will check my online bill tomorrow for yesterday and see if it made any difference. On my old Nokias (E90, 5600, N70) the connection you picked didn't make a difference. Will update once I know.

Re: [Announce] fMMS - MMS on the N900

Hi all,

New to the site and new to my N900, found fmms tonight and installed following a nifty video but it was of an older version.

When I go to the bit where you acces fmms first time and you have to input settings it appears I've got them wrong. Can someone tell me how to change them without uninstalling both fMMS and fAPN???

Thanks from a total novice!
